Munster Lose Pro12 Top Spot

Leinster have leapfrogged Munster to the top of the Pro-12.

The Blues ran in eight tries in Wales in beating the Dragons 54-22 to open up a two point lead at the summit over their rivals.

Luke McGrath and Jack Conan got two tries each and Richardt Strauss, Hayden Triggs, James Tracy and Jamison Gibson-Park also crossed the whitewash for Leo Cullen’s side.

Leaders into the night Munster were beaten 30-21 by the Scarlets at Thomond Park.

Conor Oliver, Darren Sweetnam and Jaco Taute tries had put Munster 21-9 up in the game.

Ireland host France in their third game in this season’s RBS Six Nations this afternoon.

The French come into the match at the AVIVA Stadium having lost their last four away games in the competition.

Johnny Sexton, Rory Best and Jack McGrath are back in the Ireland team and head-coach Joe Schmidt has no concerns about out-half Sexton missing the last five weeks with injury
