There are more than 11,500 unoccupied homes in Kerry, according to a report from the Housing Agency. The report, which was prepared for the housing and homelessness committee, shows over 17% of Kerry houses are lying empty. On a national scale, Kerry has the sixth-highest number of vacant homes, or third-highest outside of Dublin, Cork and Galway.
