More than 1,000 people attend momorial mass for Margaret Hassan

Fr Tom Crean has told the people of Kenmare they must not be without hope after the death of Margaret Hassan. Around 1,000 attended a memorial mass for the Irish Aid Worker who was abducted a month ago in Iraq. Mrs Hassan`s sister Geraldine lives in Kenmare with her husband Jerry Riney and their children. They are in London at the moment trying to come to terms with the brutal death of Margaret Hassan. Fr Tom Crean told the congregation they must continue to hope. Locals in Kenmare have been speaking of their shock and disgust at the murder of Margaret Hassan. They say they still had hope for her family.
