The County’s Director of transport says the new road project is more about safety than shorter journey times. Transport Minister Seamus Brennan turned the first sod on a four-kilometre stretch of new road between Tralee and Killarney this morning. Nearly 15 million euro will be spent to double the single carriageway road from Gort-a-clay to Farranfore. The work also includes the building of a new bridge over the River Maine.
