Minister to tackle growing population of school children in Kerry

The Minister for Education says area demographic plans are needed to assess the growing population of school children in the county. Mary Hannifin says extra funding would then be allocated to accommodate schools where an increase in population has occurred. Many schools in the county say they can`t meet the demand of people looking to enrol their children particularly in secondary school. The Minister says that this is a serious issue in Kerry and measures will be taken to tackle this.
