Milk farmers to protest at 6% price cut.

Milk farmers around the county may be planning further action at Kerry group plants in the coming weeks in protest at the 6 cent price cut that the company is looking to impose. Milk suppliers claim the change will mean an average loss of 10 to 13 cent per gallon for dairy farmers. Donal Kelleher Chairman of the IFA liquid milk suppliers committee says further action may see a u turn by Kerry group or it may work at a disadvantage to farmers. Speaking on this mornings Kerry today he said either way this price cut will have to be looked at again.
