Sean KellyMEP Sean Kelly, the only Irish MEP in the European Parliament’s negotiating team in Paris, has warmly welcomed the historic climate change deal reached last night. Speaking about the deal Mr Kelly, who is pictured here with Hoesung Lee, Chair of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, said “I am delighted to say we achieved a very ambitious, balanced deal which will protect our planet for future generations”. Leaders from 195 countries signed up to the deal last night – it’s been heralded as an historic deal.
