A meeting to discuss the future of rural post offices is to be held tonight in Killorglin. The meeting will be addressed by Bernard Durkan, FG`s front bench Spokesperson for Communications. He says he’s concerned about the impact of the demise of rural post offices on local communities. Deputy Durkan claims the value of the facility to a rural area must be assessed in terms of the services it provides as well as its social benefit.
