McIlroy & McDowell In Contention At The Barclays

USPGA Tour Golf Rory McIlroy and Graeme McDowell are right in contention after the second round at The Barclays. McIlroy carded a 65 to sit on 3-under par, with McDowell a shot better off and just four shots behind joint leaders Adam Scott and Cameron Tringale. Jamie Donaldson continues to lead the D+D Real Czech Masters at the Albatross course near Prague. A second round 69 sees the Welshman on 9 under par, edging towards a position in Europe’s Ryder Cup team. He’s one stroke clear of Gregory Bourdy. Kerry’s David Higgins missed the cut, finishing 2 over after a 70-the cut fell at level par. Halfway leader in the Canadian Pacific Women’s Open is So Yeon Ryu. 15 under after a 66 she’s 5 clear of Anna Nordqvist, Danielle Kang and Na Yeon Choi. First round leader at the Champions Tour-Boeing Classic is Mike Goodes. 8 under following a 64, that’s one in front of Mark Brooks and 2 better off than Gene Sauers, Scott Hoch, Mark O’Meara, Jeff Sluman and Ireland’s Mark McNulty.
