A pensioner has been taken to University Hospital Kerry after being injured by a bullock in Castleisland. The incident happened in Mart Lane at around 11 o’clock this morning. The 72 year old was knocked by the loose animal and it’s understood he suffered minor injuries to his head and back. A car was also damaged in the incident and Gardai attended the scene. The bullock was secured in a nearby field before being removed. The matter has been referred to the Department of Agriculture.
