Lower level status yellow alert in place for Kerry

flooding   A status yellow alert is now in place in Kerry. Yellow level weather alerts are for weather conditions that do not pose an immediate threat to the general population, but only to those exposed to risk by nature of their location and/or activity. Kerry County Council says that because of an improvement in weather all roads, bar the Foiladarrig road outside Killarney and the Curra road at Glenbeigh are closed. However they are warning motorists to be aware of surface water on roads across the county. Kerry Airport and the Tarbert-Kilimer Ferry Service are not affected by the adverse weather conditions. Ger O Brien is with Kerry County Council and has this update. [audio_player src=”http://media.radiokerry.ie/mediamanager/embed/audio/49844/medium/”]
