A mayday protestor, originally from Listowel but with an address in Maynoothin County Kildare has been convicted of public order offences. 21 year old Fergal Maugh was fined one hundred euro for his actions at this year’s mayday demonstration in Dublin. 24 year old David McNamara from Old Portmarnock in Dublin was also convicted of public order offences at the demonstration and was fined 5 hundred euro. The judge criticised the pair and said he couldn’t tolerate a situation where mob rules exists.
