30 minute delays were experienced on trains too and from Tralee last Friday due to an incident at Minish level crossing near Killarney. A truck struck the barrier causing initial disruption to the 11.05am train out of Tralee. The driver of the truck reported the incident to Gardaí. The crossing had to be physically manned for the remainder of Friday leading to 30 minute delays on services. The barrier was repaired on Friday night and services resumed as normal on Saturday. Incidentally two other similar incidents happened in Galway and in Dublin last week. Iarnrod Eireann is appealing to drivers to stop when they see lights flashing at level crossings.
