Kerry County Council are again this evening advising motorists to exercise extreme care as roads across the county continue to be affected by flooding. The following is the latest on road closures and flooding from Kerry County Council; N72 from Beaufort Bridge to Ballymallis is closed-Diversions in place from Killorglin via Beaufort and Milltown. Road at the Mall,Rockfield Faha is closed as it is flooded and damaged. Glenflesk to Barradubh Road remains closed. Foiladown Road remains closed. Road from Faha to Flynn’s Forge is Closed as it is flooded and damaged. The Ranaleen Road Currow will be closed for a number of days due to a land slippage earlier to-day.Local diversions are in place. Bog Road between Banna and Ballyheigue is closed due to flooding .Diversions in place via Kilmoyley. In Killarney Town the Lower Ross Road remains closed but the Ballycasheen Road is now open. While the worst of the rain has passed spot flooding and surface water remains on some roads. Motorists and other road users are urged to exercise caution. Elsewhere this morning’s Kerry to Dublin flight from Farranfore was cancelled and the Dublin to Kerry flight to arrive at 12:50 was also cancelled, however the airport says there are no other cancellations at the moment. It is advising intending passengers to keep an eye on the Kerry Airports website or contact it at 066 9764644. Shannon Ferries say their services are operating to schedule at the moment. All Bus Eireann services are operating as normal this evening also.
