Croatian man has been questioned in connection with the seizure of 21,900 cigarettes and 12 litres of wine in Tralee at the weekend. A quantity of the cigarettes, branded L and M, MG and 777 were discovered when a car was stopped as part of an ongoing operation into the sale and distribution of unstamped tobacco products. A follow up search of a private house uncovered more cigarettes with a value of €11,500 representing a loss to the Exchequer of approximately €9,100. The Department of the Revenue Commissioners say a Croatian man in his 40s was questioned in connection with the seizure.
