Large crowds are expected to take part across the county in the ‘Darkness into Light’ fundraiser in the early hours of the morning. Beginning at 4.15am, the event will see participants run or walk across the line as dawn breaks. The event, which is celebrating its eighth year, is organised by suicide and self-harm prevention charity, Pieta House. The fundraising walks in Kerry are taking place in Tralee, Caherciveen, Killarney, Dingle, and Listowel. It’s been a huge success over the past number of years, with thousands of people taking part in the county.
Semi-final draws are to take place this weekend for various Kerry Schoolboys/Girls Cup competitions.Those draws will be live on Radio Kerry.Padraig Harnett reports
