Labour TD calls for funding for Kerry Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre

Labour TD Breda Moynihan Cronin says if the Government is serious about supporting the Kerry rape and sexual abuse centre then it needs to provide long term funding. Deputy Moynihan Cronin recently raised the issue with the minister of state at the department of health Tim O Malley. The Kerry Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre dealt with 160 new victims last year. It needs 30,000 euro to make up the current shortfall. Deputy Moynihan Cronin says the centre cannot continue to survive from year to year.
