Killorglin students honoured for their innovation

Students from mid Kerry are showing their potential as future business leaders and innovators. Killorglin Community College Young Scientists and Innovators who won the Junior Engineers Category 1st and 2nd at the Sentinus Big Bang Science Fair. Timothy McGrath won the University of Ulster ICT Award. At the recent Big Bang Science and Engineering Fair in Northern Ireland, Killorglin Community College came first and second in the junior engineers category. Student Timothy McGrath also won the overall University of Ulster ICT Award. Timonthy and classmate Donal Brennan developed an app which helps people who’re visually impaired to navigate their way through unfamiliar buildings. Meanwhile Padhraic McMahon and Hugh Hurley have developed a farm safety app.
