A Killorglin councillor has called on Kerry County Council to resurface the Tralee Road from Killorglin. Cllr John Francis Flynn brought forward the motion in the council’s monthly meeting, as the section of road in question was in a “very poor condition”. In its reply, the council clarified that this section of the N70 was highlighted to Transport Infrastructure Ireland in a recent meeting. It is hoped the section will be identified as requiring pavement and minor improvement scheme design over the next 10 – 12 months. It is however, the council added, a matter for the TII to decide when exactly the scheme will proceed.
