A Killarney man who slashed the throat and neck of another man has been given a three year sentence. 44 year old Billy Burns of Nunstown, Aghadoe entered a guilty plea to assaulting the man with a blade at Rossbeigh beach on November 6th 2012. Judge Tom O’Donnell said the savage and brutal attack was premeditated and it was lucky there was no fatality. He handed down a three year sentence and suspended the final 12 months for a period of three years.
