A Killarney man is to run the London Marathon to raise funds for guide dogs for the blind. The marathon will be Michael Sharpe`s 10th and will signify his retirement from running. A guide dog costs 7,000 euro to train and Mr Sharpe says he hopes to raise as much as possible towards this goal. He says that the marathon itself is the most pleasurable part of the process it`s the training during the winter months that`s the difficult part. The London marathon takes place on April 18th.
