Killarney Community College is to receive roof repairs under additional accommodation and emergency works.
The allocation for the works to the school have been sanctioned by the School Building Unit at the Department of Education.
Kerry Fine Gael Senator Paul Coghlan has welcomed the announcement which he says will also help to stimulate economic activity by supporting construction jobs in the local economy.
The announcement has also been welcomed by Deputy Brendan Griffin.
