Kerry’s artisan markets encouraged to apply to new funding scheme

Organisers of food and artisan markets in Kerry are being encouraged to apply for new Government funding. Kerry Fine Gael TD Brendan Griffin is encouraging community based markets across Kerry to apply to this new scheme, which is open to rural towns and villages with populations of up to 10,000. Brendan Griffin The scheme offers potential funding of between €5,000 to €10,000 for development of existing or start-up local food and artisan markets. Application forms for the scheme are available from the Department of Agriculture and the department’s website. The closing date for receipt of applications is August 14.
