The National Youth Council of Ireland is urging young people in Kerry to register to vote.
Any young person who is 18 years of age on or before February 15th 2017 next is eligible for inclusion in the updated voters list.
With just over 2000 young people in Kerry turning 18 this year, the deadline for inclusion on the electoral register is on November 25th.
NYCI deputy director, James Doorley, says young people should exercise their democratic right to vote should any elections or referendums take place in the coming year.
The register form is available from local county councils and available to download at checktheregister.ie.
