A Kerry Fine Gael TD supporting Leo Varadkar in the Fine Gael Leadership Contest is confident of the N22 Macroom to Ballyvourney Bypass progressing.
Deputy Brendan Griffin said Minister Varadkar is committed to prioritising the N22 Bypass’s construction – despite his comments that a motorway between Limerick and Cork was ‘the most important project in Munster’.
The Keel native, who is supporting the Dubliner in the leadership race, says ‘he has no concerns’ as the Limerick – Cork M20 project is ‘way behind’ the N22 Bypass, which Deputy Griffin says is ‘shovel ready.
He says Leo Varadkar is ‘acutely aware’ of its importance:

Speaking on Kerry Today this morning, Minister Coveney said towns like Tralee and Killarney form a vital part of his plan:
