Waiting lists for the treatment of cataracts, orthodontic treatment and the home help service have been raised the Dáil by Kerry TD Danny Healy Rae.
The Independent TD says people’s quality of life is being seriously impacted by the delays for treatment.
He says people need a home help service on the weekends:
In response Taoiseach Enda Kenny said there have been improvements in the cataracts situation, inroads have been made into orthodontic treatment and extra money and hours have been allocated to home help.
