A Kerry TD is calling on Kerry County Council to consider a four-way stop system at Ballyfinnane Crossroads to prevent collisions at the junction. Fine Gael TD Brendan Griffin says, in the past few years, there has been a number of accidents at the location – despite various safety measures put in place by the council. A number of residents have raised concerns about Ballyfinnane Cross recently – Deputy Griffin says the situation needs urgent review by council engineers. Ballyfinnane Crossroads is currently a two-way stop junction – Deputy Griffin says a four-way stop system, akin to one he examined in Milemill Crossroads in Kildare – would help slow traffic. He said this type of four-way stop system could easily be replicated at Ballyfinnane.
