Kerry students have won an award at the National Student Enterprise Awards. The Intermediate Team from Killorglin Community College secured a Social Media Award for their company “The Irish Códaithe Competition” which supports young coders by the organisation and delivery of events. The team is made up of Timothy McGrath, Sarah O’Shea, & Rebecca Coffey. Over 17,000 students from 370 schools participated nationally in the Awards this year. The competition promotes business idea development and business structure, sourcing of finance, marketing/sales and the presentation of a formal business plan. Kerry Local Enterprise Office has delivered this programme for fourteen years.
