Kerry student rep hits out at “study now, pay later” proposal

A Kerry student rep has hit out at a proposal to roll out a “study now, pay later” style loan to pay for third level education. Ben Slimm Increasing higher level fees funded through a student loan system is the leading option being considered by an expert group set up by Government to examine how to cover the cost of the sector. The existing budget of two billion euro will have to increase by another one billion euro to cater for growing demand for third level education over the next decade.
