Kerry is to receive €23,000 to tackle illegal dumping.
Environment Minister Denis Naughten doubled the funding for projects around the country under the ant-illegal dumping initiative launched in March due to demand.
The total funding now stands at €1.3 million.
Kerry County Council has received €23,000 which will be focused on tackling eight particular locations including, Derra Bog, Ballinagare Bog, Short Mountain, Derrymore Beach, Bawnaglanna, Woodline, Killarney National Park and Reenacallee.
The funding will also provide for measures such as covert surveillance, media campaigns, signage, and the purchase of trail cameras.
The announcement has been welcomed by Senator Paul Coughlan.
