Kerry pilgrim paths part of new passport incentive scheme

Irish Pilgrim PathsA pilgrim passport has been launched to encourage people to walk along the routes of ancient trails, including two in Kerry. The Heritage Council is behind the passport which will be awarded to people who complete the five pilgrimage paths. The two trails in Kerry are in Cnoc na dTobar near Cahersiveen and Cosáin na Naomh on the Dingle Peninsula. The remaining walks are in Cork, Mayo and Wicklow. John G O’Dwyer, who’s written the first guidebook on the pilgrim paths,  will speak about the new passport scheme in the Sneem Hotel tonight at 9.
