Kerry mother urges more supports for families with premature babies

The State needs to do more to support families with premature babies. Baby hand Today is World Prematurity Day and a national organisation, Irish Premature Babies, is calling for more specialist care, better psychological support and help for those who experience bereavements. 4,500 babies are born prematurely in Ireland every year. Claire Molloy from Tralee has had four premature babies, all of whom have thrived, but she says that isn’t always the case for parents.
