Kerry Labour Senator feels it’s time for a new party leader

Kerry Senator Marie Moloney feels it’s time for a new leader of the Labour Party. Senator Marie Moloney She was speaking after a parliamentary party meeting yesterday on the General Election results; Labour lost 26 seats and now has seven TDs. Senator Moloney says the meeting was frank, open, and honest, and while she feels it will take a long time for the party to recover, she hopes it can happen in time. Joan Burton is expected to make a decision on her leadership when the government is formed; however several current and former Labour TDs have called for a new leader, and Kerry Senator Marie Moloney has echoed that, saying they have to think of the party.     [audio_player src=””]
