Financial support has been provided to nine households in Kerry following damage wrought by Storm Frank. Over €13,500 was distributed across nine Kerry households between December 4th and January 29th under the Department of Social Protection’s Humanitarian Assistance Scheme. In total almost half a million has been provided to 424 households throughout the country since December. The means-tested scheme provides emergency assistance and is designed to alleviate hardship rather than provide compensation for damage.
