Heritage projects in Kerry are to benefit from a scheme which will leverage private funds and support jobs in conservation sectors. According to Minister for Arts, Heritage and Gaeltacht Heather Humphreys 340 heritage projects will share in a €2 million investment package as part of the Built Heritage Investment Scheme for 2016. The funding will allow for conservation and repair of heritage buildings across the country. In Kerry, Belleville House in Portmagee, Flesk Castle in Killarney, a heritage house in Lislaughtin, Ballylongford, Ballymacelligott Church of Ireland, a heritage house in Blennerville, Castleview House, Castleisland and St Stephen and John’s Church, Castleisland, are all set to benefit.
