A Kerry health service campaigner has passed away. Tralee woman Jackie Crowe shared her battle with terminal cancer on a television documentary in May last year. Jackie opened up about her battle with cancer and the strain of affording treatment and medication on her limited resources. The mother of two originally from Ballyheigue was diagnosed with neuroendocrine tumours – a rare form of cancer in July 2013. She spoke to Jerry O’Sullivan on Kerry Today last year about how health cut backs have affected the health service: [audio_player src=”http://media.radiokerry.ie/mediamanager/embed/audio/42684/medium/”] Requiem Mass for Jackie Crowe will take place at 12 noon on Thursday in St Mary’s Church, Ballyheigue.
