The Kerry for Choice group say they are launching a long term campaign for a referendum on the Eight Amendment. The group, which met recently and will now focus on engaging with local councillors, says the amendment does not just cover abortion but also maternity care. Chairperson of Kerry for Choice Paula Dennan says one woman a week travels from Kerry to the UK for an abortion.
