Michael Healy-Rae has become the bookie’s favourite to get the most first preference votes. Boylesports say punters have backed the south Kerry Independent TD into 6/4 favourite to get the most first preferences in the country. Michael Healy-Rae is pipping Taoiseach Enda Kenny who is 2/1 followed by Gerry Adams and Michael Lowry. Elsewhere, Kerry TD Martin Ferris says voters in the county must choose between a Fine Gael or a Sinn Fein-led Government. The Sinn Fein TD says the electorate must decide between a chaotic Fine-Gael led government or a government of fairness led by Sinn Féin. Deputy Ferris stated that returning a Fine Gael-led government would be a disaster for ordinary people in Kerry.
