Kerry County Councillors have urged the public to report instances of overgrown hedges on public roads. At the monthly meeting of the Listowel Municipal District, a number of motions were brought which highlighted hedges that were not cut by landowners, specifically instances where the hedges endangered road users. According to local policy, the landowner is responsible for the upkeep of hedges which border their land and public roads. Councillors say a report can be phoned in to the Listowel office on 068 211 04, emailed to [email protected] or to visit the office in person.
