Kerry County Council examining bill for Tralee Bypass which has jumped from €30m to €60m

Kerry County Council is examining the bill for Tralee Bypass, which is twice as much as originally agreed. Tralee Bypass The figure was revealed at the monthly meeting of Kerry County Council, when Senior Engineer Ger McNamara said Kerry County Council is examining claims by BAM Civil, which has increased the price tag for the Tralee Bypass from €30m to €60m. Kerry County Council is also in arbitration with BAM over the final cost of the Castleisland Bypass. Spokesperson for Kerry County Council Padraig Corkery says increased costs on both projects are as a result of claims by BAM for additional works carried out while building both bypasses.
