Kerry County Council is asking that people avoid the Clasach route west of Dingle.

Resurfacing works are taking place over the Clasach over the next three days.

The mountain pass connects Árd a’Bhóthair in Ventry to Dún Chaoin village thus avoiding the cliff drive around Slea Head.

Signs are in place indicating the road is closed however a spokesperson for Kerry County Council has clarified that the road is not ‘formally’ closed.

The spokesperson said the works will be taking place on the road until Friday – they ask that people avoid the route to allow for the works be carried out.
