Kerry Confirm Sheehan Absence For Closing Rounds of League

Kerry have confirmed they’ll be without Bryan Sheehan for the closing stages of the Allianz Football League. A hand injury means the Kingdom could be without their captain for up to six weeks. Sheehan sustained the problem in the recent League win at Mayo and now misses games against Monaghan and Cork. It’s reported that Roscommon will be able to host Mayo at Dr Hyde park this Sunday in the Allianz Football League. Twice this season the Rossies have played home matches outside of their Roscommon town base in Kiltoom and then Pearse Park in Longford. Roscommon officials have told the Star newspaper they are confident the venue will be ready. Rahillys won by 8-18 to 2-6 against Listowel in County Minor Football League Div 1. Mitchels defeated Ardfert 4-6 to 3-6 in the Lee Strand St Brendans Board U-14 Football League. Winners in North Kerry Ladies Husseys Princess Street Under 12 Football League Division 2 were Moyvane, by 1-6 to 7 points against Mitchels. There’s a game at 6 today in Division 1 as Castleisland entertain Ballymac. Dr. Crokes have new sponsors for their Senior and Minor football teams.
