Kerry for Choice is welcoming the decision not to hear a challenge to the abortion referendum vote.
On Friday, the Supreme Court refused to allow a Dublin woman appeal her challenge to May’s referendum result.
This means the Government can soon introduce the legislation to allow for abortion in certain circumstances.
Spokesperson for Kerry for Choice, Paula Dennan, says they’re relieved the petition was dismissed, and that the government can now focus on bringing in legislation and abortion care services.
Kerry for Choice will march in the 7th Annual March for Choice on September 29th to demand that legislation ensures free, safe and legal abortion care.
