Former Tyrone footballer Owen Mulligan will hear the outcome of his court case for allegedly refusing to give a blood or urine sample to Kerry Gardai in the New Year. The 34-year-old BBC GAA pundit with an address at 83 Church Street, Crookstown, Co Down, is accused of the offence at Listowel Garda Station on August 29, 2014. It follows his arrest on suspicion of being drunk in charge of a vehicle at William Street Listowel on that date. Judge James O’Connor adjourned the matter for finalisation to the January 7th sitting of the court because Mr Mulligan couldn’t be there. Although Judge O’Connor previously said the defendant wouldn’t need to be present, his solicitor John O’Dwyer indicated he is anxious to be in court when the matter is finalised.
