Kerry County Council are in the process of drawing up a draft local area plan for Dingle which is to focus on population distribution. The last census showed an increase in population in the town however many residences in the area are holiday homes.The plan will act as a framework for development over the next number of years. It will also look at economic growth and the zoning of land for further development. It is currently in the early stages and is giving people to opportunity to make observations or submissions to the council before the end of the month.
