KCC apologises following road painting incident with cat

Kerry County Council is apologising for any distress caused following an incident where a dead cat appears to have been painted by machine for road marking. CAT2 The incident which took place in recent days in Ballyheigue caused considerable upset on social media after Animal Help Net Kerry posted a picture on their Facebook page. The dead cat was later removed by an unknown person. Kerry County Council says the remarking of roads is carried out by a private company and the local authority will consult the contractor about this matter.
