Kade spends €100,000 in development education in Kerry

Over 100,000 euro was spent in the county on development education in 2003 by Kade. The development organisation aims to promote justice and equality in society. It also raises awareness of global development issues. In the last year the group has held its annual global Tralee event on St Patrick`s Day and delivered outreach programmes to 14 secondary schools. These programmes aim to foster understanding about global and local conflict situations. Children`s rights and child labour was also looked at as part of the leaving cert applied programme in 8 schools.
