Junior Entrepreneurs show off business ideas to Lord of the Dance Michael Flatley in Killarney

Junior Entrepeneur 2016Businessman Jerry Kennelly says he’s encouraged by comments from Education Minister Richard Bruton that he wants to introduce entrepreneurism into the curriculum. Mr Kennelly was speaking at the Junior Entrepreneur Showcase Day at the Malton Hotel in Killarney where 800 primary school pupils are debuting their business ideas. The pupils are also showing their businesses to Lord of the Dance Michael Flatley, who says he wishes there was a similar programme for young people when he was at school. The 43 participating schools in the programme achieved sales of €26,000, generating profits of around €16,000. Mr Kennelly says the option of being an entrepreneur is more important in a changing world: [audio_player src=”http://media.radiokerry.ie/mediamanager/embed/audio/56799/medium/”]   Meanwhile, dancer and businessman Michael Flatley says he’s enjoying visiting Killarney again.
