Jimmy Deenihan honoured at UL Alumni Awards


University of Limerick Alumni have bestowed their highest honour on Jimmy Deenhan at the 11th Annual UL Alumni Awards gala dinner held last night.

The Former Minister for the Diaspora and All-Ireland winning Kerry footballer received a Personal Achievement Award for his contribution to art, culture and sport.

More than 200 guests from the university, business and wider community attended the black-tie dinner held at the Strand Hotel.

Since its inception in 2006, 36 UL alumni have now been honoured including former All-Ireland Kerry footballer Pat Spillane; entrepreneur and CEO of Dairymaster Dr Edmond Harty.
