Jeannie’s future could lie in a public private trust.

The Jeannie Johnston may yet be saved from a sell-off according to former chairman of the project, Jim Finnucane. Mr Finnucane believes that the future of the replica famine ship lies in a public private trust which would run the ship as a sail training vessel. Speaking this morning on ‘Kerry Today’, Mr. Finnucane said that the ship should operate on a north-south basis, taking sail trainees from the two communities.
